What Do Seniors Give Grandkids? Ask Hayden....
Hi! To all you seniors out there, my name is Hayden and I am 10 years old. This is my Nanna's web site and she gave me this page, to make my own. I want to share some of the things us grand-kids like to do with our grandparents and what are my favorites. I have a lot of fun whenever I go to my grandpa Ivans house. He has a big house on a lot of land, for all his grand-kids. He has thirty acres with a woods, a pond, a garden, a pole barn, and a workshop. We get to go camping in his log cabin he built in his woods. We also have really cool campfires at night till morning. And Grandpa even lets us cook breakfast over the fire. We have eggs, bacon, and sausage. 
There is so much to do at Grandpas house. My birthday is in the fall so we sometimes have a hollowween/birthday party there. He also has a Kabota (like a golf cart) that he gives us a ride in. Sometimes he let's me drive it. My whole family fishes in his pond and our dogs love it there, too. The pond has an island that we can get to in a paddle boat.
We take the dogs to the island and sometimes they swim back.
I have fun helping in the garden to pick strawberries. There is all kinds of things there that seniors like. But my favorite is the berries. They always give us snacks we like, too. The pole barn is full of wood for the workshop, and his tractors. But I like to make things with him in the workshop. Even my Mom likes to do that. Sometimes we make things in the workshop that make great gifts. Grandpa has made us grand-kids things, all our lives. But.. You know when you see us, that we all love With his huge paved drive way we can ride bikes, skateboard, roller-blade, use our scooters, or do just about anything that has wheels. My sisters like to use chalk all over it. It has all the room you could want to fly a kite. 
We have just about as much fun in the winter. Grandpa has lots of hills that we can snowboard and sled on. So with all the things that we can do, we grand-kids like to ask for gifts we need to do all these activities with. That's why it is so good to have more than one set of grandparents. I can ask my Grandpa Ivan and Grandma Joyce for one thing, my Grandma Linda and Great Grandma Birdie for something, and Nanna for something else. SWEET! They all get along pretty good so sometimes we get to have special days all together. That makes for a lot of seniors in one house.
And what kid doesn't want someone to Send Balloons I know a lot of parents think that all we do is watch TV and play video games. But that is not always true. I do like to play the Sony Play Station and Nanna has a Nintendo DS at her house, for us to play with. And we do like to get new games for them as gifts. But we grand-kids like to do lots of things. And we want someone to do it with, even seniors.
When I am at home, I like to shoot my BB gun with my friend. Dad got me a target to use and has rules I have to follow. But I always need more BB's and targets for gifts.I ride my bike a lot, and we like to get things that go on the wheels or handlebars.
