Senior Eye Care

Senior eye care is important for all of us. And wouldn't you know, as soon as I retired they took my eye care insurance from me. Along with my dental.

So much for guaranteed medical after thirty years. I hate to see what they take next.

Is it me, or do you find it amazing that we, as citizens, are bound by any contracts we have, with companies, yet they manage to finagle out of theirs?

Just when a senior needs insurance, they take it from us. That's how it seems to be.

But, thank goodness for the internet.

I have found several sites that offer some great deals on eye glasses and frames. They also have some unique sun glasses out there, now a days, along with goggles.

And, like so many companies turning to the web, it saves you money when they have little overhead to pay. has a large selection to choose from. Or you might like to SEE (get it?) what has to offer to make you look fabulous.

And I have them all over the house. But don't forget to always leave a pair in your car for the times you walk off and forget them or don't remember that they are perched quietly on top of your head. Yes, only a few times! Gets big laughs from my kids.

I hope I've given you something to think about and check out. Just because we aren't quite as mobile as we used to be, doesn't mean there isn't other ways to get things done.

One last note; about laser surgery? Do I know anything about it? Yes I do. I had it done in Indianapolis about eight years ago. Was it scary? Yes, at first. Did it hurt? Not at all. Would I do it again? In a heartbeat! Does it work? I can't tell you how shocked I was when I got home and walked past the table with a magazine on it. It seemed to jump out at me.

I could see clearly from the moment They were done with me. And no, it doesn't matter how old you are! Biggest downfall? $$$$$$. Insurance won't pay for it.
